How we lay a patio
Excavation. We dig out to the right depth for a solid sub-base.
Sub-base. A compacted base layer that stops slabs sinking or rocking.
Falls and drainage. A gentle fall so rain runs away from the house and the patio does not hold water.
Laying and jointing. Slabs laid level and straight, with clean joints and edging.
Porcelain, granite and more
Porcelain is hard wearing, resists staining and gives a sharp modern look. Granite is ideal for steps and edging. We can talk you through colours, sizes and finishes that suit your home, and combine paving with gravel, lawn and raised beds for a complete garden.
