Do I need planning permission?
Not always. In Ireland many single storey rear extensions are exempt, for example up to 40 square metres of ground floor space including any earlier extensions, as long as enough rear garden is left and other conditions are met. Check your own case with Kildare County Council or an architect.
What affects the cost?
Size, the type of build, ground conditions, access, and the finishes you choose all affect the price of an extension, renovation or patio. The only way to get a real figure is a site visit, which is why every BMCC quote is free.
When should I book?
Building work runs all year. For gardens and patios, booking in early spring means your outdoor space is ready for summer, when demand is highest. Get in touch early and Ben will give you a realistic start date.
